Reiki is a system of healing that brings the body's 'Life Force'
or Chi back into balance. Illness is caused by blockages in the Chi,
which prevents it from moving freely. Reiki releases these blockages,
bringing the body back into balance and into good health.
Reiki is not a miracle cure but it can be used to treat acute and
chronic illnesses. Dogs with sprains and strains respond well to reiki,
often only requiring on treatment. Dogs with arthritis would benefit
from more regular treatments.
Reiki healers channel the Chi through themselves and through the
patient, opening blockages and bringing the body back into balance. The
method is non-invasive and can be carried out with the patient present
or by distance healing.
As a Reiki Master in several forms of reiki, I have found it a
very useful adjunct to behavioural and health issues.
